There have been quite a few transfer bonus promotions in March, but none of them are especially compelling. It’s still best to transfer points only when you have a specific need—there’s no reason to stockpile partner points.

  • Chase UR to Marriott with a 50% transfer bonus, which works out to a 1:1.5 transfer ratio. The promotion ends on May 15. Based on our valuations, Marriott points are only worth about 0.8c/p, while UR points are worth about 1.5c/p, so this is not a particularly good deal.
  • Capital One points to Virgin Red with a 30% transfer bonus, or 1:1.3. The promotion ends on March 30.
  • Citi ThankYou Points to LifeMiles with a 20% transfer bonus, for a final ratio of 1:1.2. The promotion ends on March 31.
