On September 5, Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center announced that starting September 12, visa-free entry will resume for travelers from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and Taiwan’s diplomatic allies. At the same time, the Bureau of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a notice confirming that citizens of 66 countries will once again be eligible for visa-free entry, whether traveling for business or tourism. The post-arrival 3-day quarantine + 4-day self-initiated epidemic prevention requirement remains unchanged.

- Australia
- EU member states and countries in the Schengen Area (San Marino, Monaco)
- Belize
- Guatemala
- Honduras
- Haiti
- Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Saint Lucia
- Saint Vincent
- Grenadines
- Marshall Islands
- Nauru
- Palau
- Tuvalu
- Paraguay
If you hold a foreign passport and also have a China visa, entering through Taiwan, completing quarantine, and then flying onward to mainland China could also be an option.
