My take

This card is basically a pretty standard airline co-branded credit card. I’d still recommend it for people who fly Virgin Atlantic often, since being able to earn tier points from spending is pretty nice. The return on spending is average, but if you spend enough, the perks are solid. If you can make good use of the companion ticket and hotel room certificate, they can be very valuable.

Synchrony’s underwriting standards are not very clear. And they frequently change card benefits, so you should be prepared for that.
