According to Southwest’s official website, Southwest points will be devalued by 4% starting on January 1, 2024. At the moment, its award prices are generally tied to cash fares, with an average value of around 1.2 cpp. While this 4% devaluation is certainly bad news, it is still much better than some airlines removing their award charts entirely and devaluing by 20%+ in one shot.
