Expired: "It’s Live, Today Only" Southwest co-branded cardholders: 50x points on eligible June 11 purchases, including gift cards

To celebrate Southwest's 50th anniversary, on June 11, 2021, you can earn 50x points on inflight purchases, airfare, gift card purchases, points purchases, and vacation package purchases made with any Southwest co-branded card directly with Southwest.

At an approximate value of 1.2 cents per point, 50x is roughly equivalent to 60% back. However, the bonus is capped at 5,000 points, which means up to $100 in spending. If you can use Southwest points, buying a $100 Southwest gift card with a co-branded card could be a pretty good deal, effectively like paying about 40% of face value.
