SoFi emailed some account holders with a targeted offer: deposit funds into your SoFi Invest account by June 30, and SoFi will give you an extra 1% bonus, capped at $5,000. The bonus will be awarded within 5 business days after the promotion ends. To receive the bonus, the deposit must remain for 90 days (investing the funds within the account also counts). [Note: I previously wrote this incorrectly and thought simply depositing the money was enough.]
It sounds pretty good—if only I had the money for it. If you're broke like me, you still need to deposit at least $100 to trigger the bonus payout ($1).
It seems many existing users received this offer, but YMMV.

- Open an account and get $75. You need to deposit at least $1,000 within 30 days (you do not need to invest it; simply depositing is enough). The bonus is generally awarded within a week in the form of stock.
