[2022.2 Update] Slide app now supports Amazon gift card purchases via redemption. Note that this is not direct purchase support; it is redemption, such as rewards earned from refer offers or promotional credit. In addition, it appears that Slide allows you to click through to Amazon shopping from within the app. It is unclear whether this will earn cashback, but interested readers can try it.

Right now TopCashback offers 6% cashback, and new users can get 17%. Note that it is recommended to click through and purchase from a mobile web browser, and be prepared for TopCashback tracking failures. Also, Apple gift cards are currently no longer available for purchase there.

About Slide app

Slide app is a gift card purchasing platform launched by gift card marketplace Raise.com. It offers discounts on many kinds of gift cards, and the cashback posts instantly to your Slide account. The gift cards sold on Slide are first-party gift cards, which is different from what is sold on the Raise website. Occasionally there are very good promotions. Signup

After being available for a long time, Slide finally has a signup bonus.

  • Slide signup link ($20 signup bonus)
  • The bonus is split into four $5 credits, for a total of $20
  • Rewards for both sides of the refer will be deposited into Fund Balance and can only be used to buy gift cards [must be used within six months]

Gift card categories

Slide offers many types of gift cards. Particularly useful ones include eBay, Kroger, department stores, food delivery app gift cards, and airline gift cards. Minimum purchase amounts start at $5, $10, or $15 depending on the merchant. For some gift cards, you can also use them as an intermediate step to buy other gift cards—for example, using a Kroger gift card in-store to buy Amazon gift cards.

Cashback rates

To maximize cashback with Slide, you can stack the following methods and reach 5%-20% back.

Shopping portals

Slide is available through shopping portal cashback sites. The tracking flow usually sends you to Google Play or the Apple Store and then has you download or open the Slide app [this method can track successfully, but there is also a risk of tracking failure, especially with TopCashback]. The best current option is:

  • TopCashback signup link (3%-4% cashback on Slide)
  • TCB app click-through is not supported; it is recommended to log in to TCB in a mobile browser and click through there

Fund balance (1%)

Slide offers Fund reloads, with 1% cashback posted instantly. You can then continue making purchases using your balance.

Cashback on gift card purchases (4%)

Under normal circumstances, all gift card purchases on Slide earn 4% cashback. Occasionally there are promotions that offer more than 4% back.

Payment methods

Slide currently supports multiple payment methods, including BitPay (5%), account balance, Apple Pay, PayPal, and linked cards. This means you can also stack Apple Pay and PayPal promotions, such as quarterly PayPal category bonuses, mobile wallet bonuses, Apple Card (2%), and more.

Cash out

Cashback earned through the Slide app can be withdrawn via PayPal or Venmo once you reach at least $15.

Slide is a solid tool for saving money. When using it, pay attention to maximizing cashback by stacking portal rewards + Fund 1% + payment method rewards + 4% on gift card purchases. Good promotions do show up from time to time, and now there is also a signup bonus, so do not miss it.
