Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is made up of numerous islands, and while the city is modern it still has a refreshing European charm. SPG has a lot of Design Hotels in Stockholm, and one of them is a Sheraton hotel—the one I stayed at this time was the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel. The main reason was location. This Sheraton is by the waterfront, and it is very convenient to get anywhere. In addition, it is right next to the city terminal of the Arlanda Express airport rail line.

Booking
Hotels in Stockholm are not especially cheap. Even if using points, it would cost 16,000 Starpoints per night, so I still chose to book with cash. The rate was SEK 1617, and with taxes it is roughly equivalent to about $200.
Getting to the Hotel
It took only 20 minutes to ride from Arlanda Airport to the downtown central station on the Arlanda Express. From there, less than 300 meters on foot gets you to the hotel.
Check-in
Check-in was very smooth, and I was upgraded to a small suite. Because many cards in Europe require a PIN, there was a card reader on the desk. I tapped my Samsung Pay mobile wallet, and it worked perfectly.
Room
The bedside lamp was fairly unique.
Next to the bed is a table with four chairs set up, suitable for card games or Mahjong.
Although it was advertised as a suite, the bed and the "living room" were actually merged together, with no door separating them. The area near the window served as the so-called living room.
Besides the card (dining) table, there was also a writing desk.
Tea was complimentary.
However, all the beverages in the minibar (refrigerator) were chargeable.
Bathroom
The bathtubs were all very clean.
Breakfast: Sheraton Club
After waking up, I naturally headed to the lounge to grab a meal. I was rushing to catch my flight, so I went in as soon as it opened.
The bread was very fresh and didn’t feel like it had been sitting out for long. Eggs were in a warming container next to it.

This row wasn’t especially creative; it was mostly just snacks.
The usual breakfast juices were all fully available.
There were also some less healthy drinks. There were some fruits nearby, too.

Because of time, I quickly finished and checked out. With a 3-minute walk and an additional 20 minutes on the Arlanda Express rail, I could reach the airport, which was very convenient. Also, there were two Chinese restaurants next to the restaurant; while the prices were not cheap, it was still a good treat.
Conclusion
Overall, this Sheraton hotel itself had no major surprises, but it still met expectations. The hotel’s location is its highlight: whether it is coming and going to the airport, or using rail transit or buses to explore Stockholm’s islands, it is very convenient. The price is not too high compared with other hotels in the city. It is a good option in Stockholm.
