According to PYMNTS, Robinhood has reached an agreement with state regulators to pay $10.2 M in connection with a trading platform outage that occurred in April 2020. Details on how the compensation will be distributed have not yet been released, but it will likely be credited directly to users’ accounts. As I recall, that outage was quite serious: after submitting trade orders, users were unable to complete their trades, which can be extremely damaging in high-frequency stock trading.
