Radisson is running a very solid promotion: if you redeem Radisson points for a stay of two nights or more, you can earn one free night certificate. You can earn this up to five times during the promo period. What makes this deal especially attractive is that it does not require a paid cash stay; award stays booked with points qualify. Details are below.
- Registration link (you must register first, and your account must be a Radisson Americas account)
- Promotion period: stays must be booked and completed between September 8 and December 31
- Participating hotels: hotels in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean
- Certificate issuance: you will receive the free night certificate between January 17, 2022 and May 23, 2022
One important detail is that the category of the free night certificate depends on the category of the hotel where you stay.
- If you stay at a Category 1-3 hotel, you can only receive a free night certificate valid at Category 1-3 hotels.
- If you stay at a C4-C5 hotel, you will receive a free night certificate valid at C1-C5 hotels.
This is where it gets interesting. The cheapest Category 1 Radisson hotels cost only 15,000 points per night, so two nights cost 30,000 points total, and you would receive a free night certificate valid at a Category 3 hotel (worth 45,000 points). In that sense, it is almost like getting two hotel nights for free and still coming out 15,000 points ahead. Of course, all of this only makes sense if you actually need a stay at one of the eligible hotels.

Radisson points cannot be transferred in from most common bank or hotel loyalty programs. The main ways to earn them are hotel stays, credit cards, and buying points. The credit card is actually pretty decent: on each renewal, it gives 40,000 points, and the annual fee is only $75.
