Aircraft

The aircraft was an A350-1000, with 46 business-class seats. The seat is very similar to Etihad’s business class, with both forward- and rear-facing seats, but the layout is slightly different from Etihad’s. The seats next to the window are rear-facing, and the paired seats close together are also rear-facing. I chose seat 9A this time to see whether a rear-facing seat would feel uncomfortable. In actual use, it felt completely the same as a forward-facing seat, although those who are prone to motion sickness should still choose carefully.

Seat

The Qsuite door is pretty tall. With the overhead bin lowered, it was almost touching the door, and because of my height, I also couldn’t capture the mahjong-table vibe.

After takeoff, once the door is closed, I guess even a little mischief wouldn’t be noticed.

Amenity Kit and Pajamas

The amenity kit includes cream, lip balm, and more, and the pajama bag also has a pair of slippers.

Dining

I fell asleep right after takeoff because I was really tired, and I honestly don’t remember how long I slept. But once I woke up, it was time to eat! Let’s take a look at the menu and wine list.

I ordered shrimp for the starter, and the main course was lamb again. It was excellent!

After eating, I fell asleep again. When I woke up, I ordered a few snacks and asked for some extra fruit and dessert. Later, the flight attendant directly asked whether it was okay to serve breakfast, and I didn’t refuse, so I accepted everything.

Summary

Qatar Airways’ Qsuite was absolutely perfect and well deserving of its No. 1 ranking among business-class products (I’ll have to try ANA’s The Room someday for a comparison). The privacy is outstanding, there’s plenty of legroom and storage space, and the food is also very good. Overall, both the hard product and service were excellent. I’d love to fly Qatar Airways’ Qsuite again and hopefully piece together a full mahjong table!
