Many PayPal users have recently received targeted emails: by paying $9.99 with PayPal Checkout, you can get 6 months of Uber One membership.
The regular subscription price is $9.99 per month. If you are not yet an Uber One member (formerly Uber Eats Pass), you can sign up for Uber One through PayPal for $1.66 per month. Many Amex Platinum cardholders get $15 in Uber Eats credits each month, which works nicely with Uber One. If your account has Uber Cash, it will be deducted from Uber Cash first.
If you only want the discount, you can try it for one month and then cancel—effectively spending $1.66 to get a $25 off discount. Many Citi card users have a promotion where spending $9.99 on Uber One gets $9.99 back; it’s said this can be triggered even if you don’t spend the full $9.99. If this offer is available, it may be worth linking a Citi card to PayPal and doing it.
Those who have already signed up for Uber One through PayPal often already have the $25 off discount on their account. According to one user’s DP, at checkout you should turn off Uber Cash and select PayPal checkout to trigger it. If a restaurant does not allow this discount, it is likely because it can’t be stacked with buy-one-get-one (BOGO), so just choose another restaurant.
