800-Flowers is usually pretty expensive, and most people probably would not shop there under normal circumstances (myself included). But with this promo, you can actually come out ahead by buying flowers. I’ve been pretty busy lately, so here’s a quick 101 update on this deal.
The offer is under the shopping section of your PayPal account. Some people may see two offers: one no-minimum $5 off and one no-minimum $15 off. Both need to be manually activated, for a total of $20 off. The $5 off offer expires in just a few days, and the two offers can stack.
In theory, checkout requires you to enter 800-Flowers through PayPal, but in practice the offer can still trigger if you start from a cashback portal. Ebates is currently offering 20X at 800-Flowers. If you buy only a $20 item, then after the PayPal discount, you would come out ahead with 400 MR. There was a similar $15 off promo earlier this year, and I personally tested that Ebates + PayPal did stack successfully. It also works with ShopRunner! Here’s what I did this time:
- Open Ebates, search for 800flowers, and click through to shop.
- Pick an item priced at $20+, I chose one for $20.99.
- Select PayPal at checkout.
- On the order confirmation page, manually remove the Ebates order code. If you do not remove it, ShopRunner will not work. In my test, removing it did not affect the Ebates cashback, but YMMV.
- After paying with PayPal, both offers will show as triggered, but the discount is only actually deducted after the charge posts.
- In the end, my total cost was $2.72 for a $20 potted plant, plus 400 MR if all goes as expected. YMMV.
