Mint Mobile | 3G Service Ends on July 1

Mint Mobile will officially shut down its 3G service on 07/01/22. Like Visible, it will move to a 4G/5G-only network. This will definitely have some impact in places with weak coverage. However, with Wi-Fi calling available, the effect may be limited to remote outdoor areas.

For people using it long-term outside the US, this is generally not a big issue, since local networks are already 4G/5G. Calls can also be made using Wi-Fi calling.
