MGM Resorts announced that it discovered a data breach on September 11, 2023. Information stolen included the names, contact details (including phone numbers, email addresses, and ZIP codes), gender, dates of birth, and driver’s license numbers of customers from before 2019. A small number of users also had their SSNs and passport numbers stolen. The company believes that passwords and payment information such as bank details were not affected.
They say affected users will receive an email that includes Identity protect service. I still recommend that anyone who has registered for an MGM membership account or stayed at one of their hotels keep a close eye on their personal information and payment information.
