We previously introduced MaxRewards, a powerful credit card management app:

[Apr. 2022 Update] MaxRewards launched a 5.1 giveaway event (there is an in-app notification about it). There is a giveaway running through 5/1. The total prize pool is $750, with 18 winners. [Mar. 2022 Update 2] MaxRewards has a small bug: if you have referral credit on your account, do not change your subscription cycle. For example, if you are subscribed monthly, do not switch to annual. Based on the author’s testing, when you move to a longer subscription term, MaxRewards will default to using up all of your referral credits.

If this also happens to you, you will need to contact customer service in the app (contact us). Support can refund you and restore your credits, but apparently only that male support rep has permission to restore credits, so it may take about two rounds of communication to resolve the issue. Hopefully they fix this bug soon.

The biggest sweet spot here is that you can aggressively add every AMEX Offer, without being limited by the usual rule that each credit profile can only add an offer once. One possible strategy is:

  • On your own business charge card, use your own information to open N authorized user cards (N can be as high as 99 per card)
  • AMEX business credit cards (including authorized user cards) do not report to your personal credit history
  • You can wait until there is an authorized user offer to do this; sometimes there are even offers for 99 cards
  • Open a separate AMEX online account for each authorized user card
  • Add all of those online accounts to a single MaxRewards account

Then, if all of your accounts have good offers, MaxRewards will add all of them for you.
