Marriott has gradually been rolling out social media promotions this year. By interacting with Marriott on social media, you can earn points, and the annual cap is now 45,000 points, which is not insignificant. Today, Marriott and the NFL teamed up to launch a Twitter promotion called Extra Points Sundays: simply send one tweet and you can earn 1,000 Marriott Rewards points, which is a pretty good deal. We value that at about $9. The promotion is posted on Sundays, so we recommend setting a reminder and checking each Sunday to see whether it has returned.

The promotion was announced via tweet:

How do you get the points?

First, you need to link your Twitter account with your Marriott account. If you have not done that yet, you can read this article. After linking the accounts, all you need to do is send a tweet:

@MarriottRewards #RewardsPoints Canton, Ohio

and you will receive 1,000 Marriott points.
You may want to keep an eye on @MarriottRewards on Twitter, since they often give away free points. Sending a tweet only takes a moment, so we recommend that everyone take advantage of this promotion.
