You can now fill out an online form to transfer Marriott points directly to another person. Previously, you had to call or contact customer service to do this. The transfer limits remain the same: transfers start at a minimum of 1,000 points, you can transfer out up to 100,000 points per year, receive up to 500,000 points per year, and point transfers take up to 24 hours to complete. Marriott is quite generous here—there is no fee for transferring points, so you can move them freely.
