Many Marriott co-branded cardholders are now receiving a targeted offer to purchase Marriott gift cards at 15%-20% off, up to $1,000. You must receive the email and use the code included in that email to get the discount. The offer is only valid for 48 hours and expires on April 18! If you can use it, jump on it.
This is a very solid deal, effectively making stays at Marriott hotels 20% off. Paying for a stay with a gift card is basically the same as paying cash: you can still earn elite night credits normally and enjoy elite benefits.
