Marriott has confirmed that it will start including required resort fees when you search for hotels. This is a huge help when comparing prices, since at least travelers will no longer get blindsided by this hidden fee.
When booking a hotel, in addition to the nightly room rate, we often run into a resort fee. In the past, this fee usually was not shown in hotel search results. Some hotels would only reveal it right before payment, while others would not disclose it until check-in or even check-out, which was extremely frustrating.
