Today we’re excited to share some great news: Marriott Bonvoy and Cathay Pacific have just launched a preferred partnership. Under this collaboration, Marriott Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members can receive Cathay Silver status and get the opportunity to fast track to Gold status (oneworld Sapphire).

Under this partnership, Marriott Platinum members and above only need to earn 300 status points instead of 600 to qualify for Cathay Pacific Gold status.
Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific Silver, Gold, and Diamond members will receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold status, and that status will remain valid for as long as your Cathay membership status is valid. If you complete 10 paid nights within six months of linking your accounts, you’ll receive Platinum status through early 2026.
One important thing to note is that the number of Cathay Silver statuses available is limited, so if you think this partnership could benefit you, you should register right away.

This is a very nice benefit for travelers who frequently stay with Marriott or fly with Cathay Pacific. There doesn’t seem to be much downside to registering for this offer, so we’d recommend signing up as soon as possible.
