Marriott is running a points sale from now through July 2, with up to a 50% bonus. That works out to a cost of 0.83c/p. Personally, I think Marriott points are more valuable than the current 20% off gift card deal, since they still retain the nice SPG legacy feature of transferring to a large number of partners, and award bookings also come with the stay 4 nights, get the 5th night free benefit.
Unfortunately, this time you need to log in to your account to see your targeted offer. My LD saw a 50% bonus after logging in.
When I logged in, I only got a 30% bonus, which is not worth it. If a friend has a 50% bonus, though, they could consider gifting points to you.
