If you hold a Marriott credit card, stacking that with this double-night opportunity makes it much easier to requalify for Platinum or even Titanium status.

If it makes sense for you, you could consider mattress running at some lower-cost properties in Greater China. Marriott Platinum status is still well worth earning or renewing, especially since lounge access and breakfast benefits at properties in China are often excellent.
