Minimum 500 points to redeem

Available only on JetBlue-operated flights, valid in any fare class, and no blackout dates.

You can still earn flight miles and Mosaic qualifying miles on the cash portion, but you cannot earn qualifying segments.

Redemption value

Unfortunately, this does not give you a higher value for points when redeeming; it actually causes devaluation.

LAX-BOS

Standard economy: about $174 or 12,300 pts, value about 1.41 C/P

With C+P, 7,000 pts + $110.10, value about 0.91 C/P

Mint business class: about $599 or 58,800 pts, value about 1.02 C/P

With C+P, 38,899 pts + $248, value about 0.9 C/P

Takeaway

JetBlue has introduced a more user-friendly ticket payment method, but it also brings in a new way of devaluing points.
