IHG has launched a pretty good membership challenge: after registration, if you stay 5 nights you can be upgraded directly to Platinum, and 3 nights gets you Gold. The campaign itself is quite good, and the stay requirement is low. However, IHG Platinum only requires having a co-branded credit card, so it is not very attractive for people who already have the card.
