IHG Pick Your Points Promotion: Earn 2,000 or 8K Points on Stays (May 20–August 31, 2026)

The long-awaited IHG One Rewards “Pick Your Points” promotion is back. This offer applies to stays from May 20, 2026 through August 31, 2026.

Members must choose one of the following two earning options:

• Earn 2,000 bonus points after every 2 nights stayed; or
• Earn 8,000 bonus points after every 4 nights stayed.

Note that once you register and select one option, you cannot switch to the other. If you expect to stay at least 4 nights during the promotion period, it makes more sense to choose the 8,000-point option right away, which works out to 2,000 points per night on average.

Other important details:

• Only eligible paid cash stays qualify for bonus points. Award stays and Points + Cash bookings do not qualify. Members must register on the IHG website before participating in the promotion.
• Registration period: May 6, 2026 to May 19, 2026 is the pre-registration period, and you can also register at any time during the promotion period from May 20 through August 31.
• Eligible regions: IHG One Rewards members in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan).
• Also note that stays booked through third-party platforms such as Booking.com and Expedia are not eligible for this promotion. Eligible stays must have an actual paid rate of more than $30 USD per room night, or the equivalent in local currency.
