IHG is currently offering a very solid promotion for new members who register by May 1. If you sign up through the link below and complete two stays, you can earn a Free Night certificate that can be redeemed at a hotel costing up to 40,000 points. According to the terms, both newly registered members and members who registered within the past 90 days can activate this promotion. Only stays booked and completed after registering for the promotion will count. Eligible stays must be completed by September 6, and the Free Night certificate expires 120 days after it is issued. Only members with a US or UK address on file are eligible to participate.
Since the requirement is just two stays, this can be a great deal: do two cheap stays and then redeem the certificate at a nicer 40,000-point hotel, which often costs $200+ per night.
If you already have upcoming stays planned, it may even be worth registering a new membership account and completing the stays to earn a Free Night certificate.
