According to Hyatt’s latest terms, starting June 7, each member may receive at most 10 gift awards per calendar year, including Free Night awards, upgrade awards, suite upgrade awards, and similar benefits. This limit applies only to receiving awards; there is no limit on how many eligible awards a member may send.
This is fairly understandable. If members could receive an unlimited number of gifted awards, then elite members could simply collect free night awards and use them for their own stays while repeatedly enjoying elite benefits. In any case, this should also help curb the private trading of awards.
As of June 7, 2025, a Member may be gifted a maximum of ten (10) transferred awards per calendar year in accordance with the process described above. This restriction applies only to the receipt of transferred gift awards. Members remain able to transfer as many eligible awards as they choose.
