According to Hyatt’s official announcement, this acquisition has now been completed. The total cost was £53.0 million. My guess is that award redemptions for hotels in the Mr & Mrs Smith portfolio should become available sometime in 2024.
According to Hyatt’s official announcement, it planned to acquire the Mr & Mrs Smith hotel group. In the near future, Hyatt points should be usable to redeem stays at this luxury hotel collection. The group previously partnered with IHG, so IHG points could be used for redemptions, but after the acquisition it will presumably become exclusive to Hyatt.
The group’s official website is below. It has 1,800+ hotels worldwide, including more than 100 in North America. In short, Hyatt’s portfolio keeps getting bigger.
