Chase account referral links have actually been around for a long time, but the referral bonus is really quite low. Since some readers may still be interested, here’s a brief write-up following our 101 News mention.
To generate one, you need to have a Checking account (including Total Checking and College Checking) or a Savings account. There are two simple ways:
Contents [Hide]
Method 1
- First log in to your Chase account
- Then go to: https://accounts.chase.com/raf/invite
Method 2
- Do not log in to your Chase account
- Go directly to: https://accounts.chase.com/raf/landing
- Enter the required information to get it
Referral Bonus
The referrer receives $50 per person, up to $500 per calendar year.
So should you use a referral link?
- Chase’s standard combined bonus is: Total Checking ($300) + Savings ($200) + an extra $100 after completing both, and this comes around every year. If you really can’t wait, you can even buy one on eBay, which is still much better than going through a referral.
- If you are only opening Total Checking, the total bonus is too low, so we recommend it even less.
- If it’s for Savings, then depending on your deposit amount, the difference may indeed be small, so you could consider using someone else’s referral link.
Currently, there are three known Savings bonus tiers:
- $300 with a $25,000 deposit for 90 days (targeted as “Select for you,” but usable by everyone)
- $225 with a $15,000 deposit for 90 days (public offer on the official site)
- $150 with a $10,000 deposit for 90 days (referral offer; if two people refer each other, you can effectively get a $200 bonus)
