About Hotel Eclat Beijing
Hotel Eclat Beijing occupies floors 16 through 21 of the Parkview Green FangCaoDi shopping center. It is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. Here, you can enjoy museum-like rare art pieces, a stylish and distinctive stay experience, exceptional dining, and attentive room service, while also taking full advantage of the uniquely designed Parkview Green FangCaoDi mall for shopping whenever you like (this is quoted from the official website, and based on my stay, it’s absolutely true—more on that below).
The hotel has 100 rooms in total, with details designed specifically for business travelers. 26 rooms and suites feature whirlpool tubs in the bathroom, and 20 luxury suites even come with private outdoor swimming pools. Before arrival, after a fairly in-depth chat, I was successfully upgraded to a Deluxe Terrace Room. The terrace was very large, though it sits within the dome of the overall building. Each suite has its own theme. Later, when I asked about upgrading to the Harry Potter Suite, I was offered a discounted upgrade difference of ￥4,500. The official website price seemed to be around ￥10,000, so if that interests you, it may be worth emailing the hotel to ask about discounted pricing. Borrowing a few images from the hotel brochure.
Because the Presidential Suite is so large, the photos make it look more like the hotel’s lobby, corridors, and restaurant than a guest room, so I’ll just introduce the more room-like Miami Suite here. The ultra-luxurious Miami Suite redefines high-end living, with 128 square meters of interior space, a stunning 200-square-meter outdoor terrace, and a 10-meter private jet hydrotherapy pool. The terrace sits beneath the hotel building’s ETFE transparent membrane roof, which brings in natural light while also ensuring airflow and a comfortable temperature, unaffected by the weather. Inside, the exceptionally spacious living room includes a separate dining area that can accommodate 18 guests, making it ideal for entertaining, and a private butler is available to provide premium service.
Redemption
I spent a few days in Beijing on this trip home and redeemed a free night at Hotel Eclat Beijing (Cat 4) using a Chase Hyatt FN. If booking with points, it costs 15,000 per night, while the cash rate was around ￥1,750. This hotel is part of Small Luxury Hotels and was newly added to Hyatt’s redemption chart earlier that year. Previously, the only Beijing option for using an FN was the Grand Hyatt, but now there is another, even better option. The stay experience was excellent and absolutely worth it.
Stay Experience
The Parkview Green FangCaoDi shopping center is shaped like a pyramid. Hotel check-in is on the first floor, and the lobby displays a large number of artworks, making it feel like a museum.
At check-in, they explain all of the included benefits, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and two drinks. Unfortunately, we were busy each afternoon and didn’t make it to afternoon tea.
The room was very spacious, elegant, and artistic, with delightful details throughout: a vintage telephone, a pistol-shaped control for the night light, a decorative typewriter on the terrace, and so on. Everything fit the room’s character perfectly. The rack for bath towels and hand towels in the bathroom was constantly heated, which felt a bit wasteful; the toilet was sensor-activated and automatically heated; and the toiletries were from Miller Harris. The room had only one minor issue: the TV did not directly face the bed.
In the mini bar, all drinks except the champagne were complimentary. One especially nice touch: on the first day, we drank one mango juice, and the next day housekeeping replenished two extra mango juices for us and even left a thoughtful note. The service was very attentive.
Every room comes with a massage chair. I forgot to take a photo, so I won’t include one here. The balcony was huge, and the leather sofa had a great premium feel. It was an ideal place to read, have tea, and just unwind—although in our case, we only used it once to eat takeout with friends...
Breakfast
We stayed on the 16th floor, and breakfast was also served on the 16th floor. It was not too crowded. I don’t recall seeing guests from other floors come down, so it’s possible that each floor has its own breakfast service. By the second day, the person in charge of the floor already remembered our room number, which was a pleasant surprise and showed how much effort the hotel puts into service. Breakfast was partly buffet and partly made to order, including omelets, Eggs Benedict, udon, jianbing, youtiao, Hong Kong-style dim sum, and more.
The lounge is in the first-floor lobby. We ordered two drinks, and they brought a few light snacks as well.
Conclusion
Our overall experience at Hotel Eclat Beijing was excellent. It is located in the heart of Beijing’s CBD, the physical property is top-notch, and the hotel’s culture and service were an unexpected delight. Its attention to detail makes guests feel at home, and more importantly, you can truly feel the kindness and warmth between people here. It’s a place with a real human touch. I highly recommend using a Hyatt FN here, as the value is outstanding.
