Hilton Honors points devalued again: increases of up to 36%, with the cap raised to 250,000 points

Hilton standard room award rates have now surged to as high as 250,000 points per night (up from the previous cap of 200,000), a 5x increase versus 12 years ago. Many popular hotels have also seen higher award pricing, including Conrad Tokyo and Conrad Osaka.

• Conrad BofA BofA Nui: old price 150,000, new price 200,000, increase 33.30%
• Waldorf Astoria Grand Wailea: old price 120,000, new price 160,000, increase 33.30%
• Eritro: old price 150,000, new price 200,000, increase 33.30%
• Sitzmark Vail: old price 90,000, new price 120,000, increase 33.30%
• Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal: old price 190,000, new price 250,000, increase 31.60%
• Waldorf Astoria Maldives: old price 190,000, new price 250,000, increase 31.60%
• Conrad Tokyo: old price 100,000, new price 130,000, increase 30.00%
• Conrad Maldives: old price 140,000, new price 180,000, increase 28.60%

The good news is that Hilton still has uncapped free night certificates, which can be used at any Hilton property with standard room availability. It may still make sense to hold one or more aspire cards for the long term.
