Hilton has announced on its official website that it will continue extending points and elite status expiration, while also lowering the requirements for elite status qualification. Nights earned in 2021 will automatically roll over into 2022, which is a pretty generous move overall. Unfortunately, the expiration date for free night certificates has not been extended yet. Hopefully Hilton will extend those again before the end of the year. Details are below:
- All currently earned elite status levels are automatically extended through March 31, 2023. For example, if you are currently Diamond, your status will remain extended through 2023...
- Points will not expire before December 31, 2022
- Nights earned from stays in 2021 will automatically be added to 2022. The qualification requirements for elite status in 2022 will remain reduced.
