Hilton has opened another round of its elite status match promotion. From now until March 2017, you can use elite status from another hotel program to match all the way to Hilton’s highest tier, Diamond status. The requirement is that you must currently hold elite status with another hotel chain and have stayed at least once with that chain in the past year.

The nice part about this offer is that during the match process, your elite status can last for 90 days. If you complete 4 stays during the match period, you can earn Gold status; if you complete 8 stays, you can earn top-tier Diamond status. Data points show that if this match is approved, you may be able to keep Diamond status through March 2019. (Even though the official link shows 03/01/2018, confirmation emails reportedly show March 2019.)

This status match opportunity is quite generous, and the path is fairly easy as well. For example, if you have the IHG Platinum status that comes with the Chase IHG credit card, plus at least one eligible stay in 2016, you can match to Diamond status. If that sounds good to you, go for it!
