Hertz has announced an update to its points policy. Currently, points expire after 12 months with no earning or redemption activity. Effective December 31, 2024, points will instead expire on a fixed five-year schedule, regardless of account activity. In addition, if you book a car rental with points, there will no longer be a fee. Overall, this seems like a positive change.
