Frontier Airlines has launched a new promotion offering Elite 20K status to people in the U.S. who hold a travel-related credit card. To get 20K status, you need to pay $199, but the first 2,000 applicants only need to pay $80. If you happen to fly Frontier, this could be worth considering for the free baggage allowance and other perks.

Details

  • Enter your travel credit card number and complete the $199 payment ($80 for the first 2,000 applicants) to receive Elite 20K status through September 30, 2023. Travel credit cards such as the AMEX Platinum, AMEX Hilton, and Capital One Venture X all qualify.
  • If, during that period, you fly 5,000 miles, spend $5,000 on a Frontier co-branded credit card, or reach a combined total of 5,000 through flying and spending, you can extend the status through the end of 2023.
Instant Status with a Challenge: Eligible travel rewards credit card holders have the option to pay a one-time fee of to get instant Elite 20k Status, valid through 9/30/2023, and extended through the end of 2023, upon flying 5,000 miles or spending $5,000 on the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard, or any combination of flying and spending. This accelerated Frontier Miles Elite 20k status option, valid through 9/30/23, starts at $199 (the first 2,000 applicants pay a reduced rate of $80)
