According to an official announcement, starting May 22, Avios can be transferred freely between Finnair accounts and British Airways accounts.
Finnair previously announced that it would join the Avios family in early 2024. After that, flights would earn Avios, and award redemptions would also use Avios. While it is still unclear how the final earning and redemption charts will change, having more ways to use Avios is always a good thing.
