[Update] The cashback tracks very quickly for older accounts. For new accounts, tracking may take a bit longer. Mine tracked the next day after purchase and showed 45,000 points pending. If you are new to Drop, you can get the 5,000-point signup bonus + 45,000 points = 50,000 points total, which is just enough to redeem a $50 Amazon gift card in one shot. I helped family members in China buy three, and all of them tracked.

It looks like Drop recently changed its interface again, and it looks a bit better now. WeChat reader Wangbo found a pretty good deal right on the Drop homepage. New Drop users are also eligible for this offer.
Sam's Club Deal
- Buy a Sam's Club membership and earn 45,000 points (worth about $45)
- Only valid for new members; renewals do not qualify. However, you could consider creating another account (it is recommended to use a different billing address)
Besides showing up on everyone’s Drop homepage, Drop also emailed this offer to some users.
How to buy:
- First, download the US Sam's Club app
- Tap through the purchase button in Drop, then it will redirect you to the Sam's Club app to buy the membership for $45 (Account → Join now → choose the $45 option)
- The reward will be posted to your Drop account within 90 days
- Right now, Drop requires a minimum of $50 to redeem an Amazon gift card, so this is a very nice deal
- If you do not receive the reward, Sam's Club allows free membership cancellation within one year (refunded to the original payment method), so you should not lose out
Other ways to use this deal:
- The Sam's Club app can generate a membership QR code (bar code) immediately after purchase. You can buy memberships for family members in China, have them download the US Sam's Club app (US Apple or GooglePlay), and they can use it to enter Sam's Club stores in China (in fact, it should work at Sam's Club stores worldwide)
- Actually, even a screenshot can work. As long as the name matches, it should be fine. Showing it in the app is better, or you can add it to their digital wallet.
- If you need a physical card, you have to go to a US store to take the membership photo. But the digital card lets you shop right away, so a physical card is not really necessary. During special times, less contact is always better.
Choose Amazon for Today‘s Deal
After the redesign, Drop removed most of its card-linked deals, but it kept a small Today‘s Deal perk. Previously it would auto-select Amazon, Target, CVS, or Walmart; now it is manual. The rewards are small, but Amazon is basically as good as cash. If you do not have anything to buy, even reloading a $10 Amazon gift card can trigger it.
