Dmall is a supermarket self-checkout app (and it also works via a WeChat Mini Program) that is available in many mid-sized and large supermarkets across numerous cities. It has actually been usable for quite a long time; I’ve personally been using it for about half a year.

As long as your supermarket has Dmall self-checkout machines—which are essential, since they let you scan and pay on your own—you can use it. The supermarket itself may not support checkout by scanning a WeChat code, but Dmall definitely does. Of course, some large supermarkets directly support paying by WeChat scan + US credit card (the supermarket scans your code). For details, see this roundup:

If you have a Chase Ink Plus business credit card and there’s a supermarket nearby that supports Dmall, then grocery purchases earn 5x UR. With the Chase Ink Preferred business credit card, you earn 3x UR, which is still pretty good. See also:

In case you’re not familiar with what the app looks like, here’s a quick screenshot. It also supports the Mini Program.
