Hainan Airlines (HU) and Air China (CA), two of the main carriers on US–China routes, have each launched Black Friday promotions on US–China airfare. Air China’s discount is reportedly 15%, while Hainan Airlines has not specified an exact discount amount. China Southern (CZ), meanwhile, has not announced anything for now. These sales cover tickets for winter break travel through early 2017. Air China’s promotion excludes the winter break period, so if you need to travel back to China during that window, Air China will not be an option.

Hainan Airlines
The promotional page is here: link. Tickets must be booked between November 23 and November 26 (Eastern Time), and discounted inventory is limited. Eligible departure dates are from November 23, 2016 through April 30, 2017.
In addition, if you fly Hainan on US–China or China–Europe routes this year or next year (2017) and credit the miles to Fortune Wings Club (Hainan’s frequent flyer program), you can earn a bonus of 6,000 kilometers in economy class or 20,000 kilometers in business class. There is also a separate offer if you redeem tickets using cash + miles.
Air China
The promotional page is here: link. Tickets must be booked between November 25 and November 28 (time zone not yet confirmed), and availability is likewise limited. Travel must take place between November 25, 2016 and April 30, 2017. Note that the winter break / Christmas period (December 9, 2016 to December 25, 2016) and the Chinese New Year period (February 1, 2017 to February 12, 2017) are excluded. Flights must originate in the US and must be operated by Air China; codeshare flights are not eligible. If Air China serves your airport, it may be worth checking fares as soon as the sale starts. If you need to travel back to China, we recommend adding the sale start time to your calendar so you can jump on it right away. Good luck scoring a ticket.
