Cathay Pacific announced a new points transfer partnership today. You can now transfer Cathay Pacific points to Marriott points at a 2:1 ratio. Honestly, that’s a pretty terrible deal. Unless you have Cathay Pacific points that are about to expire and need to use them, this is probably not worth considering.
Previously, Marriott points could already be transferred to Cathay points at a 3:1 ratio, and the promotion to get 5,000 bonus Cathay points when transferring 20,000 Cathay points is still available. My guess is that they renewed the contract?
