From August 9 through August 20, you can get a 25% bonus when transferring Citi ThankYou Points to Avianca LifeMiles. This bonus is provided by LifeMiles, so it will not appear on Citi’s transfer page. After the points are transferred to your AV account, you will receive the extra 25% bonus.
There are often bonuses for buying AV miles or transferring points to AV, but we still recommend transferring only when you have a specific use in mind instead of stockpiling miles. After all, TYP can now be transferred to AA, and AA miles are still generally easier to use.
