There’s currently a promo for transferring Choice points to UA miles: 5,000 Choice points can be converted into 2,000 UA miles. If you have Citi ThankYou Points, you can transfer to Choice at a 1:2 ratio, which means the full chain works out to TYP transfer to UA at 5:4. If you also hold Rewards+, with the extra 10% rebate, the effective ratio becomes 9:8. That’s actually not a bad ratio, so it may be worth considering if you have a use for it.

A few things to note:

  • Each transfer must be at least 5,000 points, or in multiples of 5,000, in order to receive exactly 2,000 miles or multiples of 2,000 miles
  • Promotion period: now through October 15, 2023
  • UA miles should post within 48 hours
  • Once the transfer is completed, points cannot be returned
