Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers to BA, IHG, and Marriott are all currently offering bonuses. Of these, only the BA option is reasonably worth considering; the other two are fairly mediocre. Still, if you urgently need the miles or points, a transfer could make sense.
- Transfers to BA Avios come with a 30% bonus, for a final ratio of 1:1.3. If you value BA points at 1.2c/p, that means you’re getting 1.56c/p in value from your UR points. Not bad.
- Transfers to Marriott points come with a 50% bonus, for a final ratio of 1:1.5. If Marriott points are valued at 0.8c/p, then your UR points are effectively getting 1.2c/p in value, which is fairly average.
- Transfers to IHG points come with a 50% bonus, for a final ratio of 1:1.5. If IHG points are valued at 0.5c/p, then your UR points are only getting 0.9c/p in value. That’s worse than simply cashing out at 1c/p, so there’s basically no reason to consider this one.
