If you simply click through the email and add an authorized user card, you can get 15,000 UA miles directly. There is not even any spending requirement. I added one myself, and the general process was as follows:
- Click through from the email link
- Log in to your Chase account
- Enter the authorized user's information
- You will be asked to verify your identity and confirm the addition in the mobile app
- Finish adding the card
- The bonus should post in about 3 months (I did mine in July)
