According to a WSJ report, Chase plans to launch a new comprehensive travel booking website this year, offering integrated travel booking services for flights, hotels, restaurants, and more. In fact, Chase has been acquiring related travel service providers over the past few years, so it is not surprising that it wants to build its own platform. My guess is that once it goes live, this travel booking site will be open to everyone, without requiring a Chase card, while Chase cardholders may receive some additional discounts.
AMEX also currently has its own travel booking platform, which is now the sixth-largest booking platform. Its FHR program is also quite good.
