We received an email from IHG saying that, starting January 1, 2022, this card will no longer provide cell phone protection. Any related expenses incurred before the end of 2021 must be claimed within 90 days. This is still quite disappointing, since the older version had only a $49 annual fee and still offered this benefit, which made it a pretty good value.
On the rental car insurance side, the time allowed to report an incident and to submit a claim has been extended.
