Reach Elite Status Faster: Earn 3 Elite Nights for Every $5,000 Spent on the Chase Hyatt Credit Card

Hyatt cardholders can now earn more Elite Nights through spending to help with earning higher elite status. From April 15 through June 30, the World of Hyatt credit card earns 3 elite nights for every $5,000 spent, up from the previous 2. The older version of the Hyatt card earns 2 elite nights for every $5,000 spent.

If you currently have Discoverist status from the credit card benefit, you would still need 20 more elite nights to reach Explorist, so it is still difficult to move up based on spending alone. Personally, I think this promotion is just okay. It can be somewhat useful for people who already stay with Hyatt fairly often and want to retain or upgrade their status.
