WeChat reader 意识刘 recently shared a very interesting DP: purchases at Costco.com can trigger the DrugStore bonus category on the Chase Freedom Flex. This is very likely a bug. If you’re interested, this quarter also happens to have Wholesale 5x, so if you use CFF, on the first $1,500 you could earn 7x UR. The transaction screenshot is below: it coded as both wholesale and DrugStore. It’s also possible this is related to the item purchased in the DP (RX may refer to pharmacy).

So far, this seems to be happening only with online purchases; in-store purchases probably won’t trigger it. CFU also has an extra 2x on DrugStore purchases, so it should probably work there as well. The simplest method is to buy a Cash Card on Costco.com.
Overall, I personally don’t think this is supposed to happen, so if you want to try it, YMMV.
