According to DOC, the Capital One Spark Cash Plus card is offering a $1,200 welcome bonus. Earn $500 after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months, and another $700 after spending a total of $50,000 in the first 6 months. The spending requirement is especially high.

This card earns 2% cash back on all purchases. If you spend $200,000 per year, you also get an extra $200 back. In effect, that is only an extra 0.1% cash back. The annual fee is $150.

Oddly, this card has not appeared on Capital One’s official website, and you can’t even find relevant information by searching Google. The only thing we found is that Capital One filed a trademark for Spark Cash Plus in 2021.

Capital One’s Spark business card lineup currently includes Spark Cash (2% cash back, $95 annual fee) and Spark Cash Select (1.5% cash back, no annual fee). This Spark Cash Plus appears to be a more premium version, but the extra benefits seem pretty limited.

Overall, it is quite strange that the application link for this card leaked out. Perhaps it is a targeted offer from Capital One for certain people. If you are especially interested and have high business spending, you could give it a try. One thing to note is that Capital One pulls all three credit bureaus, so you will get a hard pull on all three. In addition, its business credit cards do report to your personal credit report, so they can have some impact on your credit score (most other banks generally do not report business cards to personal credit reports). It is a good idea to keep an eye on the balance on Capital One business cards, since a high balance can also hurt your personal credit score.
